ETIM International Welcomes the Electrotechnical Association of Slovenia (EZS) as the New Home of ETIM Slovenia

ETIM International is pleased to announce that the Electrotechnical Association of Slovenia (EZS) has formally taken on the responsibility for ETIM Slovenia, securing the continuation and future development of ETIM activities in Slovenia.

The ETIM initiative in Slovenia was previously supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS). Mrs. Andreja Hlišč, Director, and Mr. Mitja Virant, Consultant, actively supported the search for a sustainable path forward for ETIM Slovenia. Their efforts led to the introduction of ETIM International to the Electrotechnical Association of Slovenia (EZS) in November 2025.

Since then, constructive discussions have taken place with EZS Secretary General Mr. Rudi Zorko and ETIM Coordinator Mrs. Katarina Seliger regarding the continuation of ETIM Slovenia as one of the projects within the scope of EZS. These discussions resulted in a formal agreement signed in March 2026, confirming that EZS will assume responsibility for ETIM Slovenia.

“It is a great honour and pleasure for us to cooperate with ETIM International. I am confident that we will successfully continue ETIM activities in Slovenia,” said the President of EZS, Mr. Igor Papič.

ETIM International warmly welcomes EZS into the ETIM community and looks forward to a successful collaboration that will further strengthen standardization and digital product data exchange within the Slovenian market.

“We are very pleased that a strong and respected organization such as EZS will continue the development of ETIM Slovenia,” said Jeroen van der Holst, Community Director of ETIM International. “This ensures continuity for the Slovenian market and honours the efforts and vision of the late Mr. Igor Gramc.”

The integration of ETIM Slovenia within EZS creates a solid basis for further growth, cooperation with the Slovenian industry, and the continued implementation of the ETIM classification model across the electrical and technical sectors.
