Techlink, official representative for ETIM in Belgium has decided to join the ETIM MC governance initiative starting january 1st 2026.

Techlink is the Belgian professional federation of manufacturers, distributors, installers, and companies active in the field of technical maintenance and energy management within the Ecosystem of multifunctional installations.

With their TechBIM object library being founded on the same technical principles as the ETIM Modelling Classes open standard, it is a no-brainer. TechBIM also identifies standardised classes with property sets for parametric models, accompanied by a dimensional drawing.

By joining the ETIM MC open standard initiative, they are committing to align their platform with the ETIM MC standard. This benefits the manufacturers, who in the near-future can rely on supplying one dataset for multiple BIM object libraries in different countries. With the collaboration between ETIM International and ETIM Belgium/Techlink, the entire industry benefits through shared experiences and lessons learned in creating standardised parametric models for generic BIM objects.
